The Stern course schedule, course descriptions and course syllabi can
be found at the following website:
When looking at courses, be sure to check the course prerequisites to
ensure that you are qualified to take the course.
Stern's policy is that non-Stern students can take up to six Stern credits
per semester. However, be sure to review your MSCS degree requirements
before registering for courses to ensure that you are completing all
the course requirements of your degree program.
The only Stern course that is pre-approved for MSCS students is
B01.2311 Foundations of Finance. All other courses must be approved by
the Director of Graduate Studies. Please e-mail your approval request to
Jennifer Conlan Darlington (firstname.lastname@example.org); be sure to include the course name,
course number and the official course description. If the request is
approved, you will then need to complete a cross registration form. You
can find the Cross Registration Form at:
The Cross Registration Form must be turned in to Jennifer Conlan Darlington
(Warren Weaver Hall Room 324). The form will then be faxed to Stern.
Stern students are given priority when registering for Stern courses.
While Stern registration officially begins on a set date, it is only
for Stern students. Non-Stern students are able to register for courses
later on in the registration process. For important
Stern dates, go to:
If seats are available in the course, you will receive call numbers and
access codes for the course. Once you receive the information, you have
24 hours to register for the course through Albert.

Help Desk at email@example.com or at (212)998-0180.
Please submit proof of payment to the Stern Graduate Office of Records
and Registration in order to be cleared and appear on the official roster.
